A Letter from the Editor

Hello! I’m honored to have been chosen to continue the great line of Editors that have come before me. I am thrilled to take on the title of Editor-In-Chief and I hope I can be even half as great as those before me.

The Woodward Post means a lot to me and has since my first year at Springs. I remember entering classroom 9 after school one day–the lights were off and someone had brought snacks and placed them up front. Slowly, more and more people began to trickle in. Despite being nervous about possibly missing the bus, my anxiety quickly faded as Virginia, then Editor-in-Chief began to speak. I was terrified: everyone there was either older or had more experience, but Virginia let me write anyway. She helped me as I wrote my first article, and it was thrilling. The Woodward post means and has meant so much to me because it has given me a place to develop and hone my writing. It has provided me the opportunity to lead  and for that, I am forever thankful. I hope I can do the Woodward post and the position of Editor-In-Chief justice, just as those before me have done.

I know many of you, like me, are probably drowning in work; in many cases, more work than me. I hope this issue of the Woodward post lets you take a break and read for a couple of minutes. Better yet, I hope this issue will provide the necessary reprieve from work and get you through these last few weeks.

Enjoy,

Elijah Baay
